getxbook is a collection of tools to download books from websites. There are tools to download from Google Books' 'book preview', Amazon's 'look inside the book', and Barnes and Noble's 'book viewer'. There is an optional GUI written in Tcl/Tk, and some shell scripts using OCR to create plain text or searchable PDFs and DjVu files from the downloaded books.

- What is the best program to convert '.djvu' files to '.pdf' extension? I don't want online converters because I am worried about their security.
- This project is very nice. I am trying to convert Image on Text pdfs, which means that you have the images in front and invisible text at the back. It works fine, but starting from the 2nd page the text produced has an extra character between each 2 characters in the text behind.

Release Notes: The GUI has finally had a major overhaul, and is now positively attractive. This release also improves documentation, fixes a JPEG download bug, and tightens up the core code a bit.

Hello,
Just noticed that if 'look inside' is available in a book in amazon.co.uk but it is not in amazon.com then the pages are not downloaded. I've tried with both ISBN-10 and the complete URL and in both cases I get: 'could not find any pages'. Social image resizer tool.

Could you please have a look if you have the chance and add support for amazon.co.uk as well?
Thanks!
